Rob and Donna have 3 children who are or have been through Mt. Zion. His goal is to make Christianity real to the students. No one is perfect, but God loves everyone. With that in mind, he tries to get the kids to think about what they do when no one is looking, making decisions today while it is easy, so that tomorrow, or next year when the question comes up, there is no question because you know the answer. He is also trying to get the students to take the next step and have them make a lasting mark on the world that they are living in.

Mrs. Nancy Bensheimer

Mrs. Bensheimer is a Wisconsin native who grew up in Madison and graduated from Madison West High with honors.  She was in the National Honor Society and received a Letter of Commendation as a National Merit Scholar.  She met her husband, William, while they were both attending Ozark Christian College in Joplin, Missouri.  The Bensheimers spent several years in the pastoral ministry at churches in Indiana, Iowa, and New Mexico.  The couple worked in Christian schools in Valparaiso, Indiana, Williams Bay, Wisconsin, and Wausau, Wisconsin, in both teaching and administrative roles, until Bill’s homegoing in 2006.

Mrs. Bensheimer has taught 2nd through 6th grades and has served as elementary coordinator and school director. She has logged a total of 30 years in Christian Education.

Mrs. Bensheimer says that her mission is to help students to BECOME what God has planned for them to be: to BECOME like Jesus, to BECOME responsible servants in the Kingdom, and to BECOME motivated and enthusiastic learners. Christian Character traits are a focal point of her instruction. She believes God has called her to teach children to love the Lord with all their hearts, souls, strength, and minds, and do love their neighbors as themselves.

Her encouragement to us is: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.” (Proverbs 3:5-6)
